Ahmed Hussein

Born in Egypt 1973. Ahmed Hussein received his Masters in Oriental studies, culture & communication from EI Minia University, Egypt 1995. He began his work career as a Human Resources trainer and culture consultant at the British Council in Cairo. He was responsible for developing workshops and training strategies for the local employees on how to communicate successfully and meet the needs of the multinational students and researchers coming from different Muslim countries in Asia and Africa to live and study in Egypt. 

Since 2001 he has lived in Germany and works as a freelancer trainer. Ahmed is one of the few native Arabic management consultants and trainers working in the field of cross cultural management in the German-speaking region. He experienced the daily business culture life for 4 years as an employee in one of the leading German telecommunication companies and was actively involved in the business process and contracting with key clients from various Arab countries. This field experience provided him with a profound understanding of the cross cultural differences and their impact on team motivation and multi- cultural business environments. Ahmed studied psychology in the universities of Bonn and Hagen in Germany and received his Masters in Psychology and his thesis was “Individual Interest on Learning in Intercultural Trainings: diversity beliefs as a moderator?”. 
Ahmed Hussein is a native Arab speaker. He works in English, German and Arabic and over the last 12 years his work has focused on three main areas; cross-cultural training, multicultural team building and cross-cultural marketing for the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. During this time he successfully designed and conducted more than 100 cross cultural training and international assignment coachings yearly for Expatriates from Western Europe assigned to live and work in diverse Arab countries or for Arab Impatriates living in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Europe in general. 

Ahmed designs and provides intercultural training programs to various groups of civil servants and employees of public administrations in Germany and Austria (Federal Employment Agency, City of Bonn, Dortmund, Mainz, Aachen). Since 2015 he is actively engaged in cultural integration of refugees from Syria and other Arabic speaking countries and helps different NGOs and volunteer organizations in Germany. Ahmed lives with his multicultural and multilingual family (German, Arabic, Hungarian, Romanian) nearby Cologne in Germany.
