LEAP 2025:
Pioneering the Future of AI and Technology
The global technology landscape is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and LEAP 2025 has emerged as a crucial platform for driving this transformation. Held in Riyadh, 09 – 12 February 2025, the fourth edition of this premier tech conference has set a new benchmark in innovation, investment, and strategic collaboration. With over $14.9 billion in investments and partnerships announced on the first day alone, LEAP 2025 cements Saudi Arabia’s position as a leader in artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
Massive Investments Fueling Innovation
Saudi Arabia’s vision for a tech-driven future is evident in the scale of investments unveiled at LEAP 2025. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology highlighted that more than $10.9 billion is being allocated to AI, digital infrastructure, and startup funding, further accelerating the country’s transition into a digital economy. Since its inception, LEAP has facilitated over $29.3 billion in funding across multiple editions, fostering technological growth, digital transformation, and innovation-driven economic diversification.
Breakthroughs in AI and Digital Transformation
One of the most significant highlights of LEAP 2025 is the unveiling of SARA, an AI-powered industrial-grade voice assistant developed by the Saudi Accelerated Innovation Lab (SAIL). Designed for enterprises and regulated environments, SARA operates on AramcoMetaBrain, a proprietary generative AI model that ensures high-level cybersecurity, data control, and operational efficiency. This technology signifies a major leap forward in AI-driven enterprise solutions, emphasizing trust, security, and automation.
The Rise of Smart Wearables and Augmented Reality
Beyond AI, LEAP 2025 is also showcasing advancements in wearable technology and augmented reality (AR). XPANCEO, a Dubai-based tech firm, introduced a smart contact lens that integrates AR capabilities, health monitoring, and enhanced vision. The futuristic device, expected to hit the market by 2026, aims to transform both healthcare and digital interaction by offering real-time biometric tracking and immersive AR experiences.
Another standout innovation comes from Anouk Wipprecht, a Dutch designer who merges fashion with technology. Her collection of robotic dresses incorporates heartbeat monitoring, proximity sensors, and animatronics to create interactive clothing that responds to environmental stimuli. Such advancements underscore the growing convergence of art, technology, and human experience.
Saudi Arabia’s Vision: A Global Tech Hub
With over 1,000 international speakers, 1,800 exhibitors, and 680 startups, LEAP 2025 is not just a conference—it is a testament to Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a global leader in technology and AI innovation. By fostering strategic partnerships and groundbreaking research, the country is laying the foundation for a sustainable and diversified digital economy.
As the world looks toward the future of AI, digital ecosystems, and industry transformation, LEAP 2025 is shaping the next era of technological evolution.
